This practice will focus on improving each student's specific areas of need in wrestling utilizing a high coach to student ratio. This is a small group youth wrestling class, bare feet or non-mat marking shoes only (sambo/leather sole, no exterior plastics that may mark the mats allowed).

This is a WRESTLING practice, all athletes are expected to have familiarized themselves with the appropriate ruleset and terminology, come in appropriate wrestling practice attire, and have a reusable water bottle. We also strongly suggest students have a small snack before class and bring a snack for after training to ward off the hangries.

HBJJ students must get head instructor approval, school/club wrestlers must have their coach's approval. Do both? Get both.

Students without bookings may not be allowed to attend in the event of high turnout. Contact us directly via call/text to the HBJJ academy number with any questions before booking the class so the limited spaces are utilized correctly.

Also, in preparation for hot training days being more common and due to the exceptional amount of trash being generated HBJJ has adopted a no disposable containers policy. Friday, January 30 · 6:00pm - 7:30pm

This Adult Jiu-Jitsu Hybrid Striking & Grappling class curriculum is open to all Adult Advanced students (Youth Students speak to an instructor prior to attending). The class will translate Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Catch-Wrestling, Kickboxing, and Boxing sequences from standing to the ground, for submission grappling applications usable in both nogi and gi, taking into account the realities of how strikes modify the grappling environment.

This class will be using ecological and focused drilling approaches to help students get a better understanding of striking and grappling fundamentals. The goal of this curriculum is to build an understanding of what makes techniques work and how to connect them into usable sequences for both sparring and self-defense. Come prepared for both striking and grappling (mouth guard, wraps, gloves, shin guards, etc), and don't forget your reusable water bottle.

(Students with less than two stripes on their white belt please check with the head instructor before attending the class).
